Eureka Springs Is About to Be Overrun by Santas in December
Hundreds of Santas flooding the historic streets of downtown Eureka Springs, hopping from bar to bar in a blur of red velvet and jingle bells. Night of 1,000 Santas is back, and this free pub crawl is basically an excuse to dress up in ridiculous holiday gear, drink your way through seven local venues, and maybe win a prize or two along the way. Forget your usual Saturday night plans and grab your Santa suit.

How the Santa Crawl Works
Show up in festive attire. Santa suits, Mrs. Claus dresses, elf costumes, reindeer antlers, Krampus gear, even a Grinch outfit. This is Eureka Springs, after all. Download the WayHopper app and use it to check in at each of the seven participating bars. Each check-in enters you for prizes, shows you a map to the next stop, and displays drink specials at that venue.
Spend 20 to 30 minutes at each location before moving to the next one. Complete the full crawl and you’re in the running to win a return trip to Eureka Springs. Bring extra Santa hats or candy canes to pass out if you’re feeling generous, post your photos with #1000Santas, and soak in the chaos of a downtown packed with costumed bar hoppers.
What to Expect at Each Stop
Each bar has its own vibe and drink specials, which pop up on the WayHopper app when you check in. You don’t have to buy anything at any stop, but the participating venues have decent specials if you want to partake. Most places are 21 and up, so bring your ID because it gets checked everywhere.
