Straight From the Field
You’ll find plenty of producers hauling in what they grow themselves. Stop by OTM, a Garfield farm run by third-generation farmers, for eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, zucchini, squash, okra, and peaches. As the owners put it, “We are farm to table, field to fork, log to living room.” Grab a black diamond watermelon from FNSPlus 4Farm out of Pea Ridge, or pick up eggs, produce, and planting seeds from Sloco Valley Homestead of Garfield, gathered daily from chickens the family has raised since they were chicks.

If you’re stocking the freezer, check out CSM Farms of Pea Ridge, which specializes in emu and ostrich meat, raised with a goal the family describes as providing “the highest-quality meat possible while raising our animals responsibly.” Lowry Family Pastures, started by a group of Garfield professionals who wanted a foothold in the livestock industry, brings ham steaks, bacon, and more. At F.O.B Fausset Farms LLC, a Jane, Missouri farm run by 21-year-old Wyatt Fausset, you can pick up pasture-raised pork and lamb alongside homemade goat’s milk and lard soap, pancake mixes, syrups, and jams.

Bread, Honey, and Something Sweet
Grab a loaf or a muffin from Wildbloom Bakery of Garfield, baked with mostly organic ingredients and local ingredients when the baker can find them. Bear Paw Jelly, a Pea Ridge producer, sells homemade jellies, jams, apple butter, and strawberry syrup with no added ingredients or high fructose syrup. Round things out at Bolin’s Bees of Pea Ridge, where you’ll find honey and beeswax the family calls “nature driven honey,” handled with care.

Plants, Flowers, and a Little Herbal Know-How
If you’re after something for the yard or windowsill, check out Soul Creek FarmCo, driving in from Seligman, Missouri with outdoor-grown dahlias, sunflowers, eucalyptus, and other cut flowers raised without pesticides. L A Ranch Gardens of Bentonville brings house and outdoor plants potted in repurposed estate-sale finds like pitchers and canisters. Swing by The Farmacy, a Seligman homestead focused on mushroom education and propagating aroids and succulents, for plants along with its own shine spray and bug prevention spray. And at Granny G’s Herbal Remedies of Pea Ridge, grown largely without chemicals on the owner’s own property, you can pick up herbal teas, seasonings, and tinctures, including a hot and spicy seasoning blend the label dares you to try.

Keep in mind not every producer sets up at every market date, so if you’re chasing a specific vendor, check their schedule before you head out.

Organizers with Downtown Pea Ridge are still filling out the producer lineup for the pilot season. If you grow or make something you’d like to sell, reach out at [email protected].

Come meet the vendors putting this pilot season together and see what a Saturday morning in Downtown Pea Ridge has to offer. Bring cash for the smaller tables, bring the family, and help the city figure out whether this market sticks around for good.
