Pick Your Petal
Every registered participant receives a Promise Garden flower, and you choose the color that best represents your connection to the disease.
- Blue represents someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
- Purple is for those who have lost someone to the disease.
- Yellow represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for a person living with Alzheimer’s.
- Orange is for those who support the cause and the Alzheimer’s Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

Where Your Dollars Land
Every dollar you raise through the Walk goes toward the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. The Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Walk the Walk
The route is 2 miles. Everyone who walks needs an official registration, since that is where you sign the standard waiver. Kids need to register too. If you are a parent or guardian, you can sign up your child online or fill out an offline form and sign the waiver for them.

You can bring a stroller. For everyone’s safety, skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear are discouraged. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a leash, depending on the rules at Razorback Gardens.

The Walk goes on rain or shine. Only severe weather cancels it, and if that happens, the Walk homepage will be updated on or before the morning of the event.
Hands-On Help
You can also help without walking. Volunteers help with set-up, clean-up, registration, water stops, the Promise Garden and more, and the volunteer page lists the details for each role. If you know someone who would like to pitch in, send them there.

Give Without Clicking
If you prefer to donate offline, mail a check or money order, or hand-deliver it to the local Alzheimer’s Association office. Include the offline donation form from your Participant Center or fundraising page so you get credit. Offline gifts usually take one to two weeks to appear on your page. For a faster route, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s mobile app for iPhone and Android lets you deposit checks straight to your Walk page.

See You at the Starting Line
Registering lets the Alzheimer’s Association know you are walking with them, and any T-shirt you earn is mailed through USPS. Sign up and bring a friend.
