This Masquerade Combines Rocket Science with Dance Floor Magic
NWA is about to get a serious dose of stardust. The region’s first-ever Space and Science Center is hosting their inaugural Cosmic Masquerade, and this isn’t your typical charity dinner with rubbery chicken and awkward auction paddles.
The exclusive evening brings together 250 guests at The Ravington in Centerton for an unforgettable night of great food, inspiring conversation, and stellar experiences — all while supporting the mission to build Northwest Arkansas’ first dedicated space and science center.

Where Science Meets Sparkle
The Ravington boasts over 100 years of history, 18-foot high ceilings, exposed brick walls, reclaimed wood flooring, beautiful lighting, and handcrafted decor. It’s the kind of venue that makes everyone look good in photos, even with a mask on.
But this isn’t just about pretty architecture. Guests will have the opportunity to visit the Starlight Café, an intimate upstairs lounge offering refreshments in a relaxed setting, and step outside for telescope viewing to gaze at the wonders of the night sky.
The full moon rises at 8:41 PM, turning the entire evening into a celestial celebration. You’ll be able to spot the Gumball Cluster, Andromeda Galaxy, Cat’s Eye Nebula, and Owl Nebula through professional telescopes (assuming you can tear yourself away from the dance floor!).
Your Night Among the Stars
The evening kicks off at 6:30 PM with a cocktail reception featuring music and science exhibits, plus a silent auction for those who like their charitable giving with a competitive edge. VIP guests get an exclusive champagne toast at 7:00 PM, because nothing says “space exploration” like bubbles.
Dinner begins at 7:30 PM with guest speaker Chris Hasselbring, whose resume reads like a space enthusiast’s dream. He spent 12 years in the US Air Force working on Minuteman Missiles, eventually transitioning to activating the Space Shuttle West Coast Launch Site at Vandenberg AFB, followed by 25 years at NASA Kennedy Space Center and 8 years on the NASA Space Launch System project. Translation: this guy knows rockets.
After dessert opens the Starlight Café at 8:30 PM, the party shifts into galaxy mode with DJ sets, dancing, and those telescope viewing sessions that’ll make you feel appropriately small in the universe.
