All Aboard for S’mores, Stars, and a Holiday Train Ride in NWA
Ditch the usual holiday to-do list this December. Instead, spend an evening with 37 North Expeditions on a five-hour family adventure that packs a vintage train ride, campfire s’mores, and amateur stargazing into one outing.

From Depot to Stars
The evening begins with a departure from the Motto Hotel in Bentonville, where you’ll travel together to the Springdale Depot. Once there, you’ll have time to snap photos with Santa against the depot’s festive backdrop before boarding the train at 6pm. The hour-long ride winds through the Arkansas countryside with twinkling lights and winter views rolling past your window.

After returning to the depot at 7pm, you’ll head to Lake Atalanta for the second half of the night. Gather around the fire to roast s’mores, then join expert guides for an introduction to amateur stargazing. You’ll learn to identify constellations, planets, and other winter night sky highlights before heading back to the Motto Hotel around 10pm.

Everything You Need to Know
This outing is designed for families who want a meaningful holiday experience without the pressure of elaborate planning. The experience runs on December 15, 19, and 20, giving you multiple chances to book. Everything is included, from transportation and train tickets to stargazing equipment, s’mores, and an expert guide to tie it all together. You don’t need any outdoor experience or special gear beyond warm layers and a sense of curiosity. If desired, bring extra blankets for stargazing or additional snacks to enjoy along the way.

The trip requires a minimum of six participants to run, so gather your crew and register early. You’ll trade screen time for starlight and walk away with memories that last longer than any gift under the tree.
