Over 75 corgis showed up last year to march in the Downtown Bentonville Christmas Parade. This December, the NWA Corgi crew wants to hit 100, and they need your short-legged, holiday-dressed pup to help make it happen.

How to Join the Pack
If you’ve got a corgi or even a corgi “wannabe,” you’re invited to join this walking group tradition that’s been part of the parade since 2017.
Pups who tire easily can ride in style in a decorated wagon or stroller. Dogs who prefer their personal space can spread out in the staging area and maintain distance during the walk.

Getting There and Finding Your Spot
The parade route covers less than a mile, making it manageable for most four-legged participants. The corgi crew will be walking entry #15, so look for the giant corgi cardboard cutout signs or the banner to find your spot.

Since vehicles aren’t allowed in the staging area this year, you’ll need to park nearby and walk in. Your best bets are the Bentonville Public Library, The Ledger, or Walmart headquarters parking lot adjacent to the staging grounds. If you want an easy exit after the parade, park near Preacher’s Son at the end of the route and walk back to meet up with the group.

Arrive between 4:30 and 5:30 PM to get situated. Parking gets chaotic, so showing up early gives you time to navigate the crowds and locate the group. Once 6:00 PM hits, the parade moves out.
What You Need to Know
Make sure your pup is leashed or harnessed at all times, and come prepared to clean up after them immediately. Kids under 18 need adult supervision, and anyone under 5 must be directly accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event.

The parade will be replayed on KNWA and The CW, so your corgi might just become a local celebrity. Bundle up your pup in their best holiday gear and join NWA’s festive furry tradition.
