Crystal Bridges Goes Full Contact with New Sports Exhibition

Your favorite museum just became a whole lot more athletic. Crystal Bridges is trading quiet gallery whispers for the roar of the crowd with their newest exhibition that proves art and sports make the ultimate power couple.

Where Champions Meet Canvas

Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture opens this Saturday, transforming Crystal Bridges into an unexpected arena where athletic legends live alongside contemporary masterpieces.

The exhibition brings together portraits, installations, and interactive pieces that capture everything from Olympic glory to weekend warrior moments. You’ll find yourself face-to-face with Diana Nyad’s incredible endurance story, relive Billie Jean King’s game-changing Battle of the Sexes match, and celebrate Arkansas’ own Scottie Pippen as both an NBA legend and cultural icon.

More Than Just Game Highlights

What makes this exhibition special is how it digs deeper than scores and statistics. These artists have captured the culture and identity that sports create—the way a single game can unite a community, the pressure that transforms ordinary people into legends, and the stories that outlast any championship ring.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art organized this traveling show, but Crystal Bridges has made it their own with pieces that speak directly to our Arkansas sports heritage. It’s a perfect match for a museum that’s never been afraid to surprise visitors.

See you there, NWA!
