Dance the Fourth Saturday Away at Six Twelve
Swing dancing has a way of turning a regular Saturday night into something worth remembering. Lindy Hop and swing dancing return to Six Twelve Coffeehouse & Bar, and this month’s lineup includes live music, a room full of people ready to dance, and an intro lesson for anyone who wants to learn.
Hosted by the NWA Swing Dance Society at Six Twelve Coffeehouse & Bar, this monthly event welcomes dancers at any skill level to learn and practice Lindy Hop.

What to Expect on the Dance Floor
If you’re new to swing, you’ll start with a beginner-friendly East Coast Swing lesson at 7:00 PM. The intro session covers the foundational steps and gets you comfortable with the rhythm. By 7:45 PM, you’ll be ready to hit the floor.
Social dancing runs until 10:00 PM. The music changes each month and odd-numbered months like January feature performances from Bonnie and the Boys, while even-numbered months bring DJ sets.
Grab Food and Drinks Between Dances
Six Twelve serves food and drinks throughout the night. Order something to eat when you need a break, or grab a beverage while socializing before and after the dancing.
Why It Works
Swing dancing has structure but leaves room for spontaneity. You follow patterns and rhythms, but every dance feels different depending on your partner and the music. It’s active without being grueling, and you don’t need to be good at it to have fun.

This event happens every fourth Saturday of the month at Six Twelve, with the next one on January 24. Show up, learn some steps, and see where the night takes you.
