Grab Your Broom (and Kayak) for the Witch Paddle on Lake Avalon
Broomsticks are so last century. On Sunday, October 25, Bella Vista’s witches trade the broom for a paddle and take Halloween out onto Lake Avalon, and this is the third year they’ve done it!

Pointy Hats Required
Costumes aren’t optional here. You’re coming as a witch, warlock, or wizard, so settle on your character before you head to The Beach at Lake Avalon. This coven has a theme, and it’s sticking to it.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Board)
The gear list is blessedly short: your stand-up paddleboard or your kayak. Load it up, bring it along, and practice your cackle on the drive over.
Got a dog? Bring your familiar. Got kids? Every witch needs apprentices. Both are welcome on this one.
Cocoa After the Cauldron
Weather permitting, an afterparty with hot chocolate follows the paddle. Swap the paddle for a warm mug and finally get a good look at what everyone else showed up as.

Keep an eye on the forecast, too. If rain spoils the brew, the whole thing moves to Sunday, November 1, with the same 4 p.m. start.
Gather your coven, pick your characters, and get on the water.
See you there, NWA.
