Peel Museum Is Throwing a Community Picnic to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday
The Peel Museum & Botanical Garden is turning its gardens into a full afternoon of food, history, and hands-on activities on May 31, and kids under three get in free. Built in 1875, the museum has been a Bentonville landmark for generations, and this picnic is its way of bringing the community together to mark 250 years of American history.

Back to 1776 (With Snacks)
Your ticket covers food for the full session: burgers, hot dogs, snacks, drinks, and ice cream. Heritage stations throughout the gardens let you try soap making, tallow cream making, textiles, pinch pot crafts, and create-your-own flags, all drawn from early American traditions.

Not Your Average Face Painting Booth
Kids have a full lineup with face painting, balloon artists, caricatures, yard games, inflatables, a community paper chain, scavenger hunts, and a train mystery box activity. Adults will find plenty to do alongside them.

Meet Patriot
Patriot, a female bald eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary, will be on-site for the afternoon. Members of the Arkansas National Guard, the Bentonville Police Department, and the Bentonville Fire Department will also be there to connect with the community.

Two sessions are available, 11:00 AM–12:30 PM or 12:30–2:00 PM, and both run the same activities. Choose your window, grab your tickets, and plan to spend a couple of hours in the gardens this Sunday.
