A Working Depot with Steam Exhibits and a Rotating Turntable
The depot is worth arriving early for. Stationary steam locomotive exhibits give you a look at railroad history up close, and an authentic turntable rotates the engine at the end of each run which is a mechanical detail most people have never seen in person.
Lunch and Dinner Rides on the Dining Car
The Dining Car runs lunch and dinner excursions with prepared cuisine served onboard as the train moves through the scenery. It’s a step beyond a standard excursion ride, and a natural anchor for a full day trip. The Baggage Room Gift Shop at the depot carries railroad-related souvenirs if you want something to take home.
A Full Season Running Tuesday Through Saturday Until October
Saturday’s opening is a preview. The full regular schedule kicks off May 9 with Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday departures running through October 31, plus select Sundays on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
