Swap sitting in traffic for an actual workout when the 479 Run Club hosts a 1-mile run/walk through the NWA Light Show. You’ll experience the Washington County Fairgrounds light display from the road itself, with no windshield between you and the synchronized Christmas lights.

Get Your Mile in Before the Cars Roll In

From 4:30-5:30 PM, you’ll have the entire light display loop to yourself and the running community. No traffic, no waiting in lines, just you and the lights set to holiday music. The route is the same 1-mile course that cars normally drive through, so you’ll get the full experience at your own pace.

Bring your family, your running buddies, or show up solo and join the group. The 479 Run Club welcomes everyone from serious runners to casual walkers, so there’s no pressure to sprint. You’re there to move, take in the light displays, and kick off your weekend with your workout already done.

After your loop, you can explore the fairgrounds or head into downtown Fayetteville for dinner. Either way, you’ll have gotten your exercise in while soaking up the holiday spirit, and you’ll beat the car traffic that starts rolling in right after you finish.
