Organizers bill the route as a tour of some of Fayetteville’s most unique spots. Heads-up: the course was updated October 7, 2026, so pull up the current maps on the race website before you plot your strategy.

Four Distances, Four Staggered Starts

  • Half Marathon (7 a.m.): 13.1 miles for ages 12 and up, capped at 1,000 runners. Six aid stations at miles 2.4, 4.3, 6.6, 8.2, 11 and 11.9.
  • 10K (7:15 a.m.): 6.2 miles for ages 10 and up, capped at 250. Aid stations at miles 2.4, 4 and 4.9.
  • 5K (7:20 a.m.): Ages 6 and up, capped at 250, with one aid station at mile 1.8. Organizers call both the 5K and the 10K good first-timer courses and a shot at a PR.
  • Fun Run (7:23 a.m.): 1.7 miles, no age requirement, capped at 100. Kids 10 and under need an adult alongside, and kids 5 and under run free. Organizers invite you to finish, then stick around and cheer everyone else home.

Four Hours, One Chip and a Word on Headphones

Half marathoners get four hours to finish, which is a 20-minute pace. Past that, plan to be self-supported. The half, 10K and 5K each use a race number with a disposable timing chip, and you need it to participate. The Fun Run is untimed, but you still get a race number and a finisher medal.

Organizers ask every runner to be in good health and ready for their distance. Headphones are welcome, with caution urged on the course and extreme caution in the 10K.
