See the Ozark Discovery Canopy Glow at Crystal Bridges After Dark
Winter in NWA usually means the couch wins by 5:30. This year, Crystal Bridges has a counteroffer: Winter Lights, which fills the brand-new Ozark Discovery Canopy with immersive light and sound installations once the sun clocks out.
So zip up the big coat, text a friend, and go get your glow on.

A Brand-New Playscape, Lit Up After Dark
The Ozark Discovery Canopy is a new outdoor playscape on the Crystal Bridges campus, and after sundown it becomes a walk-through show of light and sound. Winter Lights runs Thursday through Saturday evenings from 5 to 9 p.m., November 19 through January 2. There are a few holiday closures sprinkled in, so check the calendar before you load up the car.
Tickets are $10, or $25 for families and groups of three or more. Roll three deep and the group rate is already doing you a favor. Bring a fourth and it’s practically a steal!

A Free Winter Market in the Plaza
Through December 19, the Winter Market sets up in the Campus Plaza with rotating local makers and vendors. The table that caught your eye last week might be swapped out this week, which is a great excuse to come back. Admission to the market is free, so your holiday shopping list can get a head start without the parking-lot meltdown at the mall.
When your fingers stop cooperating, the Plaza Café has seasonal food and drinks to thaw you out. Hot hands, happy heart.

Galleries First, Glow Later
The galleries host regular and traveling exhibits, so you can catch some art in the daytime and stick around until the Canopy lights up. That’s culture and cocoa in one trip, and the couch will still be there when you get home.
See you there, NWA.
