Elf-Employed Entrepreneurs, Ages 5 to 17
This one’s part of Lowell’s Christmas festivities, and the kids are in charge. Young entrepreneurs ages 5 to 17 staff their own booths, sell their own creations, and keep the money they make. Organizers are expecting 20,000 shoppers at Ward Nail Park. That’s a lot of foot traffic for a CEO who still has to finish their vegetables!

The best part of shopping here? The person behind the table is the person who made the thing. Stop, ask questions, let them give you the pitch. Organizers say the experience makes these kids feel like the stars of the season, and you get to be one of the friendly faces that makes it happen.

Registration is open now. Vendor families bring their own canopy, table, and chairs, and booths set up on the grass. Check-in runs from 3 to 4 p.m., so your young mogul has an hour to get the display just right before shoppers arrive.

And if your kid swears they’re “too young to be an entrepreneur,” the organizers’ answer is simple: think again.
