Teach Your Dog to Focus at a Fayetteville Sippin’ Session
Your dog can sit, stay, and probably beg for a bite of your appetizer, but locking eyes with you when something more interesting walks by is a different story. Denise Holmes wants to fix that, one cocktail at a time.

What You’ll Practice
This session zeroes in on “Look At Me,” one of four behaviors Holmes teaches across her Sippin’ Sessions series, alongside Leave-It, Friendly Greetings, and Settle At Table. You and your dog will work on getting his attention back on you even when he’s distracted, using positive reinforcement instead of corrections. The goal is a dog who can hang out calmly at dog-friendly establishments without losing focus every time someone walks by.

Meet Your Trainer
Denise Holmes runs Love Trust Teach and hosts these sessions herself. Her Sippin’ Sessions format has you practicing where you actually play, so the training sticks once you’re out with your dog.

House Rules
Bring a non-retractable leash for yourself, and make sure your pup is comfortable around other dogs and people before you sign up. Shock collars and e-collars aren’t allowed.

Pick Your Session
You can register for just this one or sign up for the rest of the series as Holmes schedules them. Find Love Trust Teach on Facebook to learn more.
