Terra Studios Turns 50 with an All-Day Art Party
Ever wondered what happens when an art studio throws itself a birthday party?
Terra Studios is about to show you. The beloved Fayetteville landmark is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a day-long festival featuring live performances, artist demonstrations, a scavenger hunt, and birthday cake for all.

This is going to be one unforgettable birthday bash. The celebration kicks off with live music all day, featuring Jesse Dean, 2025 ACMA Americana Artist of the Year Ashtyn Barbaree, and Bruce Allen.
Aside from live music, you’ll get to watch artists at work throughout the day, creating everything from flame work glass and oil paintings to leather bracelets and wool fiber art. Deborah McConnell offers interactive bracelet-making sessions, while Red Star provides mini tarot readings. For the adventurous, there’s the 50 Ducks for 50 Years Scavenger Hunt, where you’ll hunt for 50 specially placed ducks hidden throughout the six-acre property.
Hands-on stations run all day, including Cyanotype Fortune Tellers, Clay Foundlings, face painting with Grae Paint, and a storybook reading with Mandy Hicks at noon. There’s even a Holliday Tintype station for vintage-style photo keepsakes. Crows Nest Cafe and Food Therapy serve up savories, while Pedal Pops and Middle Child Cookies will take care of the desserts. Fayetteville Beer Works brings the brews, and at 2 p.m., there’s birthday cake courtesy of Nellie B’s Bake Shop (first come, first served).
There’s also a silent auction running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with proceeds supporting Terra Studios’ mission to use art as a force for good in the community. For 50 years, Terra Studios has believed that creativity can change the world.
