Fly It or Build It
Through a partnership with KaleidoKites, the event field will be set up with hands-on kite activities. Bring your own kite or make one on-site, and the field gives you plenty of room to fly. Vendors will begin packing up at 3 PM, but you’re welcome to keep exploring the grounds after 3. The event will run rain or shine and cancels only for active lightning.

While You’re There
The refuge runs hour-long open-air tram tours every hour from the Discovery Area, each led by a member of the education or animal care team.

You’ll get a close look at the rescued big cats in their habitats, plus time to wander the self-guided Discovery Area on your own. Pre-purchase your tour tickets before you make the drive.

Check out the full list of tour options at turpentinecreek.org and make the most of your visit.

Kite Fest is a free afternoon in the Ozarks with room to roam, things to see, and no cover charge. Grab your tour tickets early and we’ll see you out there.
