WHAT TO EXPECT
You’ll spend the evening creating art alongside local artists. Lourdes Valverde guides you in crafting monarch butterflies for a group installation. Vicente Yanez teaches you to decorate sugar skull ornaments symbolizing joy and remembrance.
Watch as candles glow and Catrina costumes shimmer during the procession through Upper Ramble park. Trio Hermanitas Alvarez follows with traditional music connecting past and present through Mexican heritage.

Bring photos of loved ones who have passed to place on the community ofrenda. This shared altar weaves family stories together as neighbors bond through memory. Traditional Mexican food and drinks are available all evening.
Community Creative Center partnered with Avanza Arkansas and the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock for this celebration, with support from First Horizon Bank, Willard and Pat Walker Foundation, Adventure Subaru, The City of Fayetteville, and Citiscapes Magazine. This 16-year-old organization offers hands-on classes in pottery, painting, and drawing.
