The Hangout Brings a Cafe, Event Rooms, and Outdoor Play to the Amazeum

Bentonville just got a new front door for the Amazeum, one that doesn’t require a museum ticket to walk through. The Hangout invites you in long before you ever reach the exhibit halls.

Coffee, Lunch, and a Seat by the Greenway

Bring your four-legged friend along to The Overhang, a shaded outdoor spot at the heart of the Amazeum campus surrounded by trees and sandstone. Walk up, bike over, or park right next to it, then settle into a seat and stay for a meal or a rest.

A Head Start for Your Littlest Learners

Bring your child ages 0 to 6 into the Early Learning Advancement Center, where exhibits are designed to get them hands-on with the world around them. It’s a space built for you to learn right alongside them during some of their most important developmental years.

Let your kids loose in Imagine Outdoors, where open ended play turns into asking questions, solving problems, building confidence, and connecting with the natural world.

The Hangout is Phase 1 of the Amazeum’s Expanding Futures Capital Campaign, born out of conversations with local families, educators, and community partners who asked for more places to gather. Capital Campaign Manager Seth Duell says the expansion reflects how the Amazeum continues to evolve alongside Northwest Arkansas.

While you’re there, the Amazeum’s hands-on STEAM exhibits, including the kid-sized Walmart Market, sit just a few steps past The Hangout’s doors if you want to make a full day of it.
