Art Meets Advocacy at Thaden School’s 5×5 Art for a Cause
The Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas is turning the Great Hall at Thaden School into a one-night gallery where the art is local, the music is live, and your bid on a 5×5 canvas goes straight toward advocacy and community programs for individuals with Down Syndrome across the region.

Where the Art Comes From
Every 5×5 work on display has been created and donated by a local artist, including pieces by individuals with Down Syndrome, and goes up for bid through a silent auction. Proceeds fund advocacy, education, and community programs for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families across NWA. This year’s event moves into a newly expanded space, giving the collection even more room to breathe.
You’ll also catch live painting from Eileen Guillory and a real-time caricature experience from The Scarlett Piper, giving the night a living, breathing quality that sets it apart from a standard gallery walk.
Pour Yourself Into It
The evening runs cocktail-style, with wine and beer from Hope Winery, non-alcoholic options, and food bites circulating while live piano music fills the room.
You’re encouraged to wander, bid, and mingle at your own pace. The silent auction is open to anyone, with auction registration details coming soon.
Pick Your Seat at the Table
- General Admission — $55: Entry, one complimentary wine or beer, silent auction access, live music, and interactive art experiences
- VIP — $250: Two entries, early gallery and auction access, premium wine and beer, and reserved VIP seating
- Reserved Table — $400 (Seats 8): Eight entries, early access, one complimentary drink per guest, and a reserved table for your group
