A Winter Horseback Ride with a Purpose Comes to Flint Creek

No Experience Required

The ranch doesn’t set age limits or require previous riding experience. Instead, they work with each rider individually to match comfort level and ability. First-time riders get the same attention as experienced ones, making this an approachable way to try trail riding or get back in the saddle after time away.

Winter Trail Essentials

December riding means dealing with mud, cold temperatures, and whatever Arkansas weather brings. Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled ride wearing closed-toe shoes, layers, hats, and gloves. No restroom facilities exist at the corral or along the trail, so stop at nearby businesses beforehand.

Horses love treats, so bring fruits and vegetables (peels and all) cut into bite-size pieces. The ranch will notify riders if severe weather requires rescheduling.

Every dollar from your ride donation supports the horses directly, funding their care and the ranch’s programming that connects riders with these animals throughout the year.
