The flagship Wild and Scenic Film Festival happens every year in Nevada City and Grass Valley, California, where filmmakers, activists, and adventurers gather for a few days of screenings. It’s considered one of the top environmental and adventure film festivals around. Twenty-One Seasons and Counting

Once the main event wraps for the year, a batch of films hits the road through the On Tour program, a tradition that’s been running since 2005. This is the program’s 21st season, with more than 125 stops around the country and over 40,000 people catching a screening each year.
