How the Week Works
Throughout the week, students, parents, and volunteer ride leaders use existing trails, greenways, and neighborhood streets to travel to school together through organized bike trains. Routes are expanding across both cities, and park-and-ride options are available for students who don’t have a safe route from home.

The kickoff ride on Tuesday starts at the intersection of Hayfield and Bright, with families and volunteer ride leaders from Willowbrook and Bright Field traveling south along Bright Road to the schools. A community welcome with donuts for participating students and volunteers will be held upon arrival. Activities run through Friday, May 1, with local leaders, first responders, and community volunteers participating at multiple schools across both cities.

Why It Matters
Bike to School Week is a coordinated effort between local schools, city leadership, and community partners. Beyond the rides, the week captures real stories from families choosing to bike or walk, helping build a stronger case for connected infrastructure across NWA.

Grab your helmet, get the kids on their bikes, and join the ride.
