A Chef Who Knows These Fields

Guest chef Jerrmy Gawthrop is no stranger to NWA’s food and farming scene. His career spans nearly two decades, from Greenhouse Grille in the mid-2000s to co-founding the Roots Festival to crafting wood-fired pies at Woodstone Pizza. For this event, he’s preparing a selection of canapés made from fresh produce grown by CAFF Farm School students.

Handling the bar is guest mixologist Chris Grey of Tonik Mobile Bar, who is crafting a signature cocktail and mocktail created specifically for the evening. Each ticket includes two drink tickets.

Brass, Funk, and a Hint of the Bayou

Live music comes from Crescent City Combo, the region’s own brass and groove outfit rooted in the jazz heritage of New Orleans. They bring that same spirit and energy into every set, so expect dancing.

Farm Tours, a Silent Auction, and the Fund Itself

Your ticket also gets you a walking tour of the CAFF teaching farm, access to the silent auction, and a front-row seat when local farmers speak and this year’s Farmers for Tomorrow Fund recipients are announced.

The fund supports CAFF Farm School graduates who have secured farmland in Arkansas and are ready to launch. Starting a farm carries real upfront costs: tools, irrigation, soil amendments, seeds, cold storage, fencing. The Farmers for Tomorrow Fund helps cover those essentials for first-generation farmers who’ve put in the work. The farms they launch go on to supply fresh crops to local farmers’ markets and restaurants throughout NWA. This year’s fundraising goal is $10,000.
