Craft and Community Come Alive at the Arkansas Pottery Festival

The Arkansas Pottery Festival is a three-day festival that celebrates the art of pottery in Northwest
Arkansas.

The festival will feature over 100 NWA and surrounding state potters. It will also include lectures and pottery demonstrations by Quapaw potter Betty Gaedtke (Te-mi-zhi-ka) and Living National Treasure of the Cherokee Nation Troy Jackson on Friday and Saturday. The festival will operate from Friday to Sunday:

● Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm
● Sunday 10 am to 4 pm

MasterWorks will curate a special display from the Ceramics Teaching Collections (University of
Arkansas). Some of the renowned potters whose works will be featured in the MasterWorks collection
include Lisa Orr, Maren Kloppmann, Paul Donnelly, and Matt Kelleher.

Attendees are welcome to participate in daily door prize drawings in order to stand a chance to win something.

On Saturday night, there will be a potter’s potluck social event and cookout featuring live music. The
“March to August” band and Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere will be on hand to help entertain the crowd. Other concurrent events happening during the festival include the Walton Arts Center Illumination Series and the UARK Ceramics Student Sale and Exhibition.
