Fayetteville Restaurant Week Serves Up Prix Fixe Menus and Local Favorites

Somewhere between the third menu tab and the group text asking “wait which one has the octopus,” you’ll realize Fayetteville has quietly turned into one giant tasting menu. Chefs across town have swapped their usual specials for dishes built for the occasion.

The Ten-Day Excuse to Try Everything

Fayetteville Restaurant Week kicked off July 17 and is back for another round, with this year’s lineup being the city’s largest yet at roughly 40 restaurants signed on. The idea is simple: give local kitchens room to show off a little, and give you a reason to finally try the place you’ve been meaning to visit.

Restaurant Week organizer Ryan Hauck said the week gives chefs and restaurateurs a chance to showcase what makes their businesses unique while nudging people toward spots they might not have tried before.

Prix Fixe and Proud of It

If you’d rather sit down for a full sequence of courses than pick one dish, this is your week. At Atlas the Restaurant, you can get a $55 three-course dinner from 5 to 6:15 p.m., starting with lemon ricotta ravioli and closing with a ginger cake and pistachio ice cream dessert called Center of Gravity. Isabella’s Italian gives you a $40 two-course menu centered on a 4-ounce filet, with a $50 upgrade for a third course, or you can add a glass of house wine to either option. At Mockingbird Kitchen, $49 gets you a three-course lunch or dinner where you pick your own path through starter, main, and dessert. Bordinos Restaurant & Wine Bar leans into comfort food with dishes like lobster bisque and a ribeye topped with charred scallion lobster bearnaise, finishing with a dark chocolate ricotta cake.

Handheld and Happy About It

Not every great meal needs a tablecloth. At Penguin Ed’s BBQ, you can get half-price pork nachos at both the East and South Fayetteville locations, and Dot’s Hot Chicken knocked 50 percent off its True Believer heat level sandwich, if you’re brave enough to order it. CJ’s Butcher Boy Burgers throws in a free 12-ounce shake when you order any combo meal for dine-in. Southern Food Co. has both ends of the spectrum covered. Order the $15 Lil Pig Sandwich with your choice of side, or go bigger with the $28 French cut seared pork chop. Feed and Folly is serving its Candied Jalapeño Burger, made with local jalapenos, cream cheese, and honey on an Ozark Natural bread bun.

Brunch Doesn’t Take a Day Off

Mornings get their own lineup. At Ella’s Table, you can start with chocolate brioche French toast and raspberry coulis for brunch, then come back for a $34 buttermilk fried quail plate at dinner. Crepes Paulette pairs your mimosa or espresso with a choice of French toast, Daybreak, or salsa crepe for $13.50. Order three kolaches at Golden Kolache Bakery and you get to spin a wheel for discounts, free coffee, or coupons, and The Buttered Biscuit brought back its summer seasonal menu just in time for the week.

Drinks, Desserts, and a Few Excuses to Sing

Cafe Rue Orleans will comp you an order of mini beignets just for mentioning Restaurant Week. At Bloom Cheese Collective, $38 gets you a board and bottle special pairing a Gruner Veltliner from Austria with a three-cheese selection picked by the shop’s own cheesemongers. Calle Latin Cuisine pairs its $25 sampler platter, octopus included, with a cocktail flight running through the Green Light Margarita and the Sage Paloma. At Rolando’s Restaurante, you can choose a $15 house margarita flight or a $15 dip sampler loaded with queso blanco and queso flameado. And if you want your dinner with a side of karaoke, Big Box Karaoke is serving wings in four flavors while you wait your turn at the mic.

Don’t Wait on This One

The whole thing wraps up Sunday, July 26, so there’s only a short window left to work through the list. Pick a night, pick a cuisine you haven’t tried yet, and get your table booked before the week runs out.
