Get Your Hands on Black Hawks, Fire Trucks, and More at Springdale’s Stars, Stripes & Steel
The Springdale Municipal Airport is opening its gates on July 2nd for a free community event where you can get hands-on with the kind of equipment that usually stays behind a barrier. It’s the sort of thing that’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t seen it — you just have to show up.

What You’ll Find on the Tarmac
Stars, Stripes & Steel pulls together a mix of vehicles and aircraft from across local service agencies. You can walk up to a Black Hawk helicopter, check out an AGFC patrol boat, explore fire trucks and police vehicles, and get a look at a bomb squad robot dog in action. Helicopter rides are also available on-site.

Meet the People Behind the Gear
The crews will be on-site, too. Bring your kids, bring your questions, and spend some time with the firefighters, officers, and service members who run this equipment day to day.

Grab Some Food Before the Holiday Weekend
Local food vendors and Kona Ice will be set up at the airport, so you can eat well on your way out.
