Kick Off the Holidays at the Turnbow Park Tree Lighting in Springdale
Downtown Springdale doesn’t officially do the holidays until the whole town gathers around one tree and waits for the lights to come on. This year that glow-up happens Saturday, November 21, and if you’re a regular, take note: the date is new.

Same Tradition, New Spot on the Calendar
Downtown Springdale Alliance hosts the annual tree lighting, presented by the Tyson Family Foundation. Longtime attendees, update that calendar now, before muscle memory has you showing up on the wrong day with a thermos and nobody to share it with.
Shop Local, Listen Local
From 4 to 7 p.m., food and live music fill the park alongside a holiday market stocked by local makers and artisans. That means gift shopping with a snack in one hand and a live soundtrack going. Got a list? Consider it started.
Let There Be Light
The main event is the Christmas tree going from evergreen to ever-glowing in the heart of downtown. It’s family-friendly and free for everyone, so bring the kids, the grandparents, and whoever’s been humming carols since Halloween.

The Tree Is Just the Opening Act
The lighting kicks off a whole run of seasonal events in Downtown Springdale:
- Rodeo of the Ozarks Christmas Parade: Saturday, November 28
- La Posada: Saturday, December 5
- International Hot Cocoa Crawl: Friday, December 11
