Pick Your Session, Pick Your Path

The morning session runs 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM, and the afternoon session goes from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. The content doesn’t overlap, so you can attend one or come for the full day.

Who’s Taking the Stage in the Morning

You’re learning from people who actually do this work. The morning lineup features Molly Jones, Director of Education at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, alongside Dr. Erica Westerman, Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Arkansas, and Dr. Don Steinkraus, Emeritus Professor of Entomology at the U of A. John Scott, Urban Forester for the City of Fayetteville, and Guy Ames, Owner and Operator of Ames’ Orchard & Nursery, round out the session. Lauren Eno, Education Director at Wild Birds Unlimited, wraps things up with a Bird Walk & Talk.

Who’s Taking the Stage in the Afternoon

The afternoon is equally stacked. Alex Royce, General Manager of White River Nursery, and Cesar Acosta, Director of Horticulture at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Claudia Vilato, Owner and Operator of WILD, joins the mix alongside Susan Esche, Vegetable Garden Lead Volunteer at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, and Colin Massey, County Extension Agent with UofA Cooperative Extension. Jay Davidson, President of the NWA Beekeepers Association, closes out the afternoon with a Honeybee Walk & Talk.

You’re Going Home with More Than Just Knowledge

Every attendee leaves with a goodie bag packed with BGO hats, BGO stickers, totes from the Beaver Watershed, seeds to plant in your garden, and a grass watering schedule magnet. You’ll also take home a tree to plant in your own yard.
