Mockingbird & Magnolia Mahjong is bringing Mahjong 101 to Stoic Brews, a beginner-friendly class that walks you from not knowing what a joker tile is to catching the mahjong bug entirely. Certified instructors Sydney and Brooke lead the session, and no prior experience is required.

Sip and Shuffle Your Way to a New Skill
Your afternoon starts with a Sip & Chat from 12:30 to 1 PM, giving you time to settle in, grab a drink, and meet your fellow players before the tiles come out. From 1 PM, Sydney and Brooke walk you through the Shuffle & Learn portion for the rest of the class, covering the basics of American Mahjong step by step. Tiles, racks, and mats are provided, so you only need to bring your curiosity. Food and drinks are available for purchase from Stoic throughout the class.
Good Vibes, Better Company
Beyond the tiles, Mockingbird & Magnolia Mahjong promises great vibes and community for the afternoon. Stoic Brews rounds it out as a cozy spot to pick up a new favorite hobby.
No Experience, No Problem
