Wurst Case Scenario, Pick a Favorite
Chef Thor and Pitmaster James Tyler prepare three handmade sausages for the carved sausage bar.
- Jalapeño Cheddar Bratwurst is a German-style beef sausage with a South Texas flare.
- Klobása is a garlic-forward, Czech-style smoked sausage.
- Hähnchenwurst is a smoked chicken and pork sausage made in the tradition of Brathendl.

Pile It High at the Buffet
Your plate fills out from a buffet of German sides:
- Kartoffelsalat, a traditional German-style potato salad
- Homemade sauerkraut
- Käsespätzle, egg noodles with a cheesy finish that work like German mac and cheese
- Karottengemüse, sliced carrots braised in butter, honey and vegetable broth
- House salad with traditional dressing
- Warm pretzels with Obatzda-style beer cheese sauce

Mount Sequoyah Center puts the plan in one line: “You just need to bring your appetite.”

Sweet Endings and Cold Pours
Dessert is Apfelküchle, German-style apple beignets topped with a local apple coulis. You’ll find cold beer for guests 21 and older, and A&W Root Beer for your kids.
Bring the Whole Crew
This is a family event, so you can bring your kids along. Summit Hall has an outdoor seating area if you’d rather eat outside.

Sunset With a Side of Skyline
Before or after you eat, walk over to the overlook for a view of Fayetteville. The evening includes a sunset over the city.

Say Prost when you raise your glass, since it’s the German word for cheers. Follow Mount Sequoyah Center’s page to stay in the loop on the mountain.
