Concerts by Candlelight returns to Fayetteville with two back-to-back performances that prove classical instruments and rock music make better partners than you’d think. Add in hundreds of flickering candles lighting the room, and you’ve got a concert experience that feels worlds away from your usual Friday night.
This November, the Fayetteville Public Library hosts an evening split between Beatles classics and modern rock hits from Coldplay and Imagine Dragons, all performed by the Listeso String Quartet. Pick your show or make it a double feature, either way, you’ll leave hearing these songs differently and enjoy the night.

What Makes These Concerts Special
Rock and pop anthems reimagined through classical instrumentation create an atmosphere that’s both nostalgic and surprisingly fresh. Hearing “Let It Be” or “Viva la Vida” stripped down to strings in a candlelit library delivers something you won’t get from any streaming playlist.
The Beatles tribute opens the evening at 6:30 PM with a setlist spanning the band’s catalog, from the early days of “I Want To Hold Your Hand” to the introspective depth of “A Day in the Life.” Expect everything from the psychedelic sounds of “Strawberry Fields” to the raw emotion of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”
The second performance at 8:45 PM shifts to modern rock with a Coldplay and Imagine Dragons double feature. Tracks like “Fix You,” “Believer,” and “Sky Full of Stars” reimagined through strings prove that great songwriting transcends genre.
What You Need to Know
Each concert runs 60 minutes, with doors opening 45 minutes before showtime. Seating is first-come, first-served within your ticket zone, so arriving early gives you the best selection. The venue is ADA compliant, and attendees must be 8 years or older (anyone under 16 needs an adult chaperone).
One important note: doors close 5 minutes before the show starts, and late arrivals won’t be admitted. Give yourself extra time to find parking and get settled before the music begins.
