Christmas Gear, Summer Miles
You can pull out the ugly sweater or leave it in storage. Either way, the Christmas in July 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon gives you a reason to celebrate the holiday without the cold, the crowds, or the credit card bill. Runners and walkers of every level are welcome, and the course runs as an out-and-back for all three distances. A virtual option is also available if you’d rather log your miles somewhere other than Rogers. Cross the finish line in person and you’ll walk away with a finisher medal and a race shirt.
Know Before You Go
The route isn’t dead flat, but it’s close. You’ll have gentle rolls instead of hills, which makes it a solid pick if you’re chasing a personal record. Course maps are available for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon.
Awards go out to the top men’s and women’s finishers in five-year age groups, starting at 10 and under, for all three distances.
Registration Costs More the Longer You Wait
Late registration runs through July 18 and puts you at $42.50 for the 5K, $47.50 for the 10K, or $62.50 for the Half Marathon, each with a $5 discount if you skip the shirt. If you registered by July 9, your race swag size is guaranteed, unless you opted out of the shirt. After that cutoff, it’s while supplies last.
Can’t Make It to Rogers?
Sign up for the virtual race instead. Run or walk your distance anywhere you like, then submit your results online to be eligible for awards. Share your route, your time, or a selfie along the way and tag it with the race hashtag. Results post the Monday after race day.
The event goes on rain or shine, and registrations are final, so lock in your distance and your shirt size before the window closes.
