Springdale Laces Up in Costume for St. Jude at the Boo! Cancer 5K
Springdale’s porch pumpkins are about to get competition from a pair of running shoes.
Halloween plans in Northwest Arkansas usually involve a candy bowl. This one lets your heart rate climb from effort instead of sugar.

Lace Up and Dress Up
You can run the 5K or walk it, and every fitness level is welcome. Families of all ages can take it on together.
Costumes are encouraged, so you can show up dressed for Halloween.
Walking in Memory and in Honor
The Memorial Walk is a shorter option if you want to walk for a specific person. You walk in memory of someone you have lost or in honor of someone who matters to you.
Giving Cancer a Fright for St. Jude
Evelyn Camp and the Servicios y Eventos Locales en Springdale Rogers y alrededores group are hosting the day to spread awareness about cancer, and you get to be part of that by showing up. Their rallying cry is to scare away cancer.
All of the proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Pop the Trunk for Local Business
If you run a business, you can promote it at the event for no fee. Bring a trunk or treat and reach out to the hosts through their Facebook pages to get started.
Bring Someone Along
Bring a friend and a costume idea, and let the rest sort itself out on the course. A friend makes the last stretch easier, and a costume gives you something to laugh about on the way. Come ready to cheer for the people around you.
