Watch Santa Freefall Into Fayetteville at This Annual Holiday Favorite
Santa’s coming to town, and this time he’s bringing a parachute instead of reindeer.

This is the annual Santa Drop that NWA families wait for all year, and it’s happening at the Arkansas Air & Military Museum in Fayetteville. Have your cameras ready to capture Santa’s freefall from the sky, then grab your spot in line for photos inside a C-130 Hercules. Think your kids would love this? Here’s everything you need to know.

Here’s What to Expect
You can start showing up at 10:00 AM to grab your viewing spot before the crowd fills in. This is going to be exciting because Santa makes his big entrance at 11:00 AM, freefalling from the sky in full holiday gear. Once he lands, you can line up for your turn to snap photos with him inside a C-130 Hercules, way cooler than your typical mall Santa backdrop.
Good news for all is admission is free, and you’ll have until around 1:30 PM to enjoy everything.

When Weather Changes Plans
No one can control the weather, so if skydiving conditions aren’t safe on December 6th, the museum will move the event to December 13th. Check their website or social media before you head out, just to be sure you’re showing up on the right day.
This has become one of those beloved NWA December traditions that families return to year after year. As one parent from Rogers put it after last year’s event, “My kids talked about watching Santa jump out of a plane for weeks. You can’t get that at the mall.”
This is worth your time because it’s the kind of event that creates memories for everyone. Bring your kids, charge your phone, and get ready to watch Santa defy gravity.
