Paws Hit the Pool for Springdale’s Epic Canine Send-Off
The end of pool season means one thing in Springdale—it’s time for the dogs to take over.
Springdale’s beloved Pooch Plunge is making its triumphant return on August 10th, giving your four-legged friend the chance to live their best aquatic life before the Springdale Aquatic Center closes for the year. From 1-3 PM, this isn’t just any old doggy paddle session—it’s the social event of the season for Northwest Arkansas pups.

Dive Into the Details
Here’s how it works: your dog gets two hours of pure swimming bliss in a full-sized pool, surrounded by fellow water-loving canines. Think of it as the ultimate doggy social mixer, minus the awkward small talk.
Entry requires proof of current vaccinations and a pet donation per dog—blankets, towels, dry or wet pet food, heating pads, crates, or cash all work. Every donation heads straight to the Springdale Animal Shelter, so your pup’s pool day doubles as community service.

Pool Rules, Dog Drools
Dogs must be spayed or neutered, leashed until they’re inside, and ready to play nice with others. Leave the puppies at home (they’ll have plenty of pool parties ahead), and if your dog prefers solo adventures over group hangouts, this might not be their scene.
No treats allowed in the pool area, but honestly, with all that splashing excitement, your dog probably won’t notice.

The Grand Finale
This event marks the Aquatic Center’s seasonal send-off. After the dogs have their day, the pool gets drained and the facility closes until next year. It’s a fitting farewell that lets our favorite local pets claim the spotlight.

See you poolside, NWA!
