The museum has plenty to see with over 2,000 artifacts on display, ranging from small personal items to full-size aircraft. Many of the planes here still fly, and the static displays cover everything from the golden age of aviation to the jet age, including Vietnam-era Army helicopters and Navy carrier fighters.

This will be a fun and interactive museum visit, as guests can climb inside three different aircraft for a true pilot’s-eye view. In addition, some special exhibits include take-home activities for families.

To keep things fresh, the museum rotates two exhibits: a front-lobby deep dive that changes every year or two, and the Biography Room, which highlights a new veteran’s personal story every six months. Highlights on site include icons like the Bell UH-1H “Huey,” AH-1 Cobra, A-4 Skyhawk, A-7 Corsair II, and trainer T-2 Buckeye.

Ready to explore history this Saturday? See you at the museum, NWA!
