Eight Miles of River, One Full Day

Your day starts at the SCOTT Adventure Lab in Bentonville at 8 AM before heading out to Steel Creek, where you’ll launch your kayak and begin the paddle to Kyles Landing. The route runs through limestone bluffs, forested banks, and calm stretches of the upper Buffalo River. Lunch is served on the riverbank midway through, with time to swim before getting back on the water.

The Hemmed-In Hollow Hike

Built into the middle of the day is a hike to Hemmed-In Hollow, where a 209-foot waterfall drops into a sandstone amphitheater. The hike runs from 1:30 to 2:30 PM before the paddle picks back up toward Kyles Landing.
