Dress Up and Dash Through Downtown Springdale at the Duo Dash 5K

Springdale’s upcoming race cares less about your pace and more about what you’re wearing. The Duo Dash 5K & Fun Run lands this May, and the dress code is anything but ordinary. Start digging through your closet now.

Better Together (or Not)

The whole race is built around duos, but you don’t actually need one. Show up with a partner and coordinate your look as superheroes, famous pairs, or peanut butter and jelly. If you’re running alone, dress as your own duo with a split costume, go half-and-half, or create a character that only makes sense to you. It’s part race, part costume contest, part excuse to connect with someone new. Costume awards will be handed out for Best Duo Outfit, Best Solo Outfit, and Most Creative Outfit, so commit to the bit.

Lace Up on the Greenway

The 5K course takes you through city streets, sidewalks, and portions of the Razorback Greenway, starting and finishing at the newly renovated Luther George Park. All 5K finishers receive a medal, and the top three in each division earn placement pins. The Fun Run is untimed, unofficial, and does not include a shirt.

Don’t Sleep on Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up happens at the Springdale Rec Center (1906 Cambridge St.) on Thursday, May 7 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday, May 8 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Race day pick-up is also available until 30 minutes before the start.

Spots are still open, so start planning your outfit. Your running partner is optional. Your costume is not.
