Where to Be and When
From 1:00 to 4:00 PM, head to the lawn at the Fayetteville Folk School (207 West Center Street) for the Ozark Folkways Jam Sessions. You’ll catch sets from 2nd Sunday Singing Circle, Soldier Songs, Squirrel Jam, and international musicians from the Silkroad Ensemble — and you can get up close to discover instruments along the way.

At 3:00 PM, the Sequoyah Ukulele Society takes over Sequoyah Hall at Mount Sequoyah and plays through 5:00 PM. No RSVP needed. Come to play, come to listen — either works.

From 4:00 to 6:00 PM, BC’s Blue Shack at the Pryor Center on the Downtown Square hosts Pocket Blues: Learn Harmonica, a beginner-friendly session open to anyone. No experience needed, and Easttop Musical Instruments is providing the harmonicas.

The public piano installation at the Fayetteville Town Center is available all day for anyone who wants to sit down and play. Pop-up performances run throughout the day across parks, patios, and storefronts citywide — no central schedule, just wherever musicians decide to set up.

Get on the Lineup
This day runs on participation. Set up on your porch, find a park, host an open mic at your shop, or invite a musician to play outside your storefront. Your activation needs to happen on June 21, be centered around music, and be completely free to the public.
Register your performance or location at makemusicday.org/fayetteville to get listed on the community calendar.
