What You’re Actually Celebrating
You’re not just showing up for a lineup here. HSHS Fest is dedicated to Black women and gender-expansive artists, with a focus on Afro, Indigenous, and Southern traditions. The people who set trends and move the culture forward get the spotlight, and organizers describe the goal as investing in the foremothers, daughters, and contributors who shape the sound and rhythm of generations.

The Theme Behind the Music
This year’s festival theme is “Medicine from the soil, to the soul, for the whole,” and it shows up in more than just the branding. Organizers call it a holistic music experience, and they say herbalistic roots run deep through it. You come for the sound and stay for the frequency, in their words.

Four Things to Expect
You’ll find culture, food, vendors, and connection anchoring the weekend, according to organizers. This one’s made for lingering, not just for catching a set and heading out.
