Boom Kinetic is throwing an 80s prom party at Backroom Social Club this Valentine’s Day. The six-piece band covers your favorite decade while you compete for prom royalty in your best retro outfit.

The Night’s Lineup
Doors open at 8:00 PM, giving you time to scope out the scene before Boom Kinetic takes the stage at 8:30 PM. The band plays through their first set before pausing at 10:00 PM for the best-dressed 80s prom contest. Two winners take home the title of Prom King and Queen, plus Valentine’s Day gift baskets. After the contest wraps, Boom Kinetic returns for their final set from 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
Set the Scene
The side room plays 80s music videos and prom movie scenes all night, adding to the throwback atmosphere. Whether you’re taking a break from dancing or just soaking in the nostalgia, the visuals keep the decade alive.
Dress Code Required
Shoulder pads, neon colors, and poufy dresses are all encouraged. The more committed you are to the 80s aesthetic, the better your chances at winning the contest. Hit the thrift stores and come ready to show off your retro style.
