Northwest Arkansas hands you a shovel and a sorting bin instead of a to-do list. GoodWorks Day of Service turns your morning off into a chance to make the region a little stronger, one project at a time.

Get Your Hands Dirty for the Environment
Walker Park in Fayetteville puts you to work with Beaver Watershed Alliance from 10am-12pm. You’ll remove invasive plants and clear litter along Spout Spring Branch, work that protects local water quality and habitat. All ages are welcome, though you’ll need an adult along if you’re under 12.
Head to Crystal Bridges in Bentonville for a Trails and Grounds session from 10am-12pm, open to adult volunteers for tasks like planting and invasive plant removal. Meet at Campus Parking rather than driving to the museum entrance. All tools are provided, and the crew keeps working through light rain, though lightning or heavy rain cancels the session.
The Samaritan Community Center Farm in Rogers grows food and flowers on two acres for the organization’s free meal and grocery programs. If you’re 14 or older, with an adult if under 17, you can weed, mulch, prune, and harvest from 10am-12pm. All tools and guidance are provided on site, so bring your own water bottle and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, since the work is outdoors and only gets canceled for extreme weather.
Lend a Hand at Community Hubs
The Boys and Girls Club of Benton County in Bella Vista needs adult volunteers from 9am-11am for general maintenance and deep cleaning to keep the space safe and welcoming for kids.
If you’re 10 or older, with an adult if under 15, the Jones Center in Springdale wants your help from 9am-11am to stain picnic tables, wrap up the community campout, or spruce up indoor spaces, then celebrate with time at the pool or ice rink.
Over at EverHope in Springdale, you can help clean and organize the EverHope School Project on the Jones Prep Academy campus from 10am-12pm. The project is open to all ages, with an adult required if you’re under 18.
Teen Action and Support Center in Rogers needs volunteers 15 and up, with an adult if under 18, from 10am-12pm to plant flowers and clean up landscaping ahead of fall.
Sort, Stock, and Support Local Families
Family Network in Springdale is packing diaper bundles and writing notes of encouragement for families experiencing diaper need from 10am-12pm. You’ll need to be 10 or older, with an adult if under 18. The organization distributes more than 70,000 diapers every month, though heads up, this particular project is already full.
Northwest Arkansas Food Bank in Lowell needs volunteers 13 and up, with an adult if under 15, from 9am-11am to pack and assemble non-perishable food boxes for mobile and school pantries across the four counties it serves.
Potter’s House in Fayetteville is hosting a large group sort from 10am-12pm, where you can help organize donations into categories like clothes, kitchen, toys, and garage if you’re 6 or older, with an adult required if under 13.
Purpose Brands 414 in Fayetteville needs volunteers 10 and up, with an adult required if under 14, for a 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm shift to sort, tag, hang, and steam items for Bold Lives, a new store opening in October that’s rooted in giving men a shopping experience without financial strain or buyer’s remorse.
Samaritan Community Center in Springdale and Rogers needs help from 10am-12pm prepping donations for its thrift stores, which cover more than 40% of the nonprofit’s operating budget. You’ll need to be 14 or older, with an adult if under 17.
At Sheep Dog Impact Assistance in Rogers, you can organize and inventory Disaster Response trailers from 9am-11am if you’re 14 or older, with an adult required if under 17.
A Drive-Through Thank You
Springdale Public Schools is hosting a drive-through food giveaway at Treehouse Pantry from 10am-12pm, exclusively for its classified staff, a way of saying thanks to the people who keep the district running every day.
