The Cancer Challenge 5K & 10K Run / 1M Walk is heading to Bella Vista this June. It’s a morning on the trail that puts your miles toward something bigger than a finish time.

Pick your distance (5K, 10K, or 1M Walk) and you’ll walk away with a t-shirt, hat, goody bag, chip timing, participant run medal, and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Meet This Year’s Honorary Chair

Christine Allen, SVP of Walmart Finance (Retired), is this year’s Honorary Event Chair, and her connection to this race runs deep.

In March 2021, Christine was diagnosed with stage IVb ovarian cancer. Her journey included chemotherapy, a nine-hour surgery at Mayo Clinic, radiation, and complications along the way. Originally told she may have only two years to live, Christine is five years out and calls herself a “walking miracle.”

During her fight, family and friends formed Team Christine for the Cancer Challenge Run, which became the largest team turnout in the event’s history. Their rallying motto: “I CAN AND I WILL.”

When you show up on June 20, you’re joining a community that Christine hopes will rally around those facing cancer and help ensure patients in Northwest Arkansas have access to care and resources close to home.
