Why You Should Show Up
The 479 Run Club has been building a loyal following across Northwest Arkansas by turning what could be a solitary workout into a social event. Runners of all paces show up, put in the miles together, and then stick around to actually enjoy each other’s company. No pressure to keep up with the fastest runner in the group, no judgment if you need to walk part of the route. Just a crew of people who like to move and then grab a drink.
The Stonebreaker sits atop Markham Hill near the University of Arkansas campus, where fire pits and outdoor seating create the kind of atmosphere that keeps you around longer than you planned. The drink and food specials don’t hurt either. It’s a low-key spot to unwind after putting in the miles, and the post-run crowd tends to be just as welcoming as the run itself.

The 479 Run Club keeps a regular schedule of runs around the area, rotating between different locations so you can explore new parts of NWA while getting your steps in.
