Run or Walk for a Good Cause at Pea Ridge’s Jingle All the Way 5K

Your race entry in Pea Ridge comes with a homework assignment: bring a new toy or some non-perishable food, and it ends up at a local pantry before Christmas. The 3rd Annual Jingle All the Way 5K and Fun Run is back on December 19, held in the spirit of giving and open to all ages.

Pick Your Distance (and Your Shirt)

The City of Pea Ridge hosts this one to bring the community together and support families in need. Run it, walk it, or round up friends and family and jingle along together. There are four ways in:

  • 5K – $15, T-shirt not included
  • 5K with T-shirt – $35
  • 2-mile Fun Run – $10, T-shirt not included
  • 2-mile Fun Run with T-shirt – $30

Want the shirt? Register by December 4. That’s the cutoff to get one.

Ugly Sweaters Encouraged

Dig out the ugliest sweater in your closet (we know it’s in there) or your favorite holiday costume. A best-dressed award is up for grabs, so your tackiest tinsel might actually pay off.

Prefer to win on speed? Medals go to first, second and third place by age category, male and female, plus overall. Everybody else still sleighs it, because every finisher gets a participation medal.

Where Your Toy Ends Up

Every registration comes with a donation of new toys and/or non-perishable food. Drop yours off at packet pickup at The Garage, 190 Smith St. in Pea Ridge, on Thursday, December 17 or Friday, December 18, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Everything collected goes to a local pantry and is handed out before Christmas.

That’s your cardio and your good deed on one 8 a.m. alarm. Questions? Email the event director at jljohnson@cityofpearidgear.gov.

See you there, NWA.
