Salvadoran Festival Brings Pupusas and Pride to Springdale
Once a year, Springdale’s Salvadoran community throws a party for the whole region, and the invite is open to everyone in Northwest Arkansas. The celebration is organized by Salvadoreños Unidos Para Arkansas, a group focused on bringing the community together, and this year’s festival carries that same spirit with a lineup meant to pull in neighbors from across the region, not just from within the Salvadoran community itself.

Come Hungry
You’ll find pupusas front and center, along with other Salvadoran dishes cooked up for the day. Pace yourself and plan to sample more than one plate.
Music and Dance Take the Stage
Live music runs throughout the event, backed by traditional folk dance performances that walk you through pieces of Salvadoran culture. The lineup includes Pacheko, El Rolo del Despecho, DJ Angelito, Keybawen, and Poloopr, along with the bands Sensación and Revolución Latina. Between sets, you can wander the grounds and check out handcrafted goods from local businesses.
A Queen Is Crowned
The 2026 Festival Queen Pageant runs alongside the food and music, and it includes a Miss Chiquita category for younger girls, giving the day a sense of occasion beyond just eating and dancing.
Activities for Every Age
Kids and teens get their own lineup of activities alongside the adult programming, so you can bring the whole family without anyone running out of things to do. There are also contests with prizes running throughout the day, so keep an eye out if you’re the competitive type.
