Step Up to the Challenge at Coler’s Rise Competition in Bentonville

If you’ve ever looked up at The Rise at Coler and thought about racing it, this is your shot. Coler Mountain Bike Preserve is hosting “The Rise” Challenge presented by Niagra, and the competition just got a new wrinkle.

The Deets

Climb It or Count It

The Rise has been a fan favorite at Coler since it opened in November 2022. The climb covers 185 steps, the equivalent of 11 flights of stairs. On race day, one round counts as a full trip up and back down. Your window is one hour. Use it.

Divisions are split by age and gender: Male 19–49, Women 19–49, Junior Male/Female 18 & under, Male/Female Masters 50+, and Male/Female Grand Masters 60+. Each division needs at least three participants to award placements. Top finishers in each division compete for the title of King and Queen of The Rise. Female categories go first; male categories follow.

Bring Your Crew

The Team Relay category lets you split the work. Get two or three people together and see how many laps your group can log in that same hour combined. Everyone registers separately, and your team’s start time is assigned based on category size and confirmed before race day.

What You Walk Away With
