37 North Expeditions is leading the way on this fall adventure, bringing together two of Northwest Arkansas’ best seasonal experiences in one day. The trip begins with a 70-mile round-trip train ride through the rugged Boston Mountains, crossing three dramatic valley trestles and passing through the historic 1,700-foot Winslow Tunnel. Along the way, you’ll take in sweeping views of the Ozarks glowing in fall color—the kind of scenery that makes autumn in Arkansas unforgettable.
After the train ride, the group heads to Devil’s Den State Park for the Yellow Rock Overlook Trail. This 2.7-mile loop is considered easy to moderate, but the reward is huge: a wide-open view of the Lee Creek Valley painted in fiery reds, oranges, and golds. It’s one of the most iconic fall overlooks in the state.
